Waimea Wedding Photography - A Tropical Backyard Celebration on the Big Island
Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaii, is a place where rolling green hills meet the warmth of island life, and this wedding felt like it was made for such a setting. The celebration unfolded in the expansive backyard of the bride’s family home, a lush oasis surrounded by tropical trees. The day before had brought rain, but by the afternoon of the wedding, the skies opened into perfect sunshine — bright but gentle, without the weight of heat — creating an inviting atmosphere for the 3 p.m. ceremony.

The welcome table was adorned with delicate blooms — protea, tropical ginger, and other island favorites — arranged in crystal glass, alongside a wooden card box and a guest book ready to collect warm wishes. Tables were dressed with white linens and accented with palm leaf cutouts, coral napkins, and tropical-print favor bags.
