Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaii, is a place where rolling green hills meet the warmth of island life. This wedding unfolded in the expansive backyard of the bride's family home — a lush oasis surrounded by tropical trees. The day before had brought rain, but by afternoon, the skies opened into perfect sunshine. Bright but gentle, without the weight of heat. The kind of light that invites you to be present.
Details & Setup
Everywhere you looked, the details spoke of thoughtfulness and personality. The welcome table was adorned with tropical blooms — protea, ginger, and island favorites — in crystal glass. Tables were dressed with white linens and accented with palm leaf cutouts, coral napkins, and tropical-print favor bags. At the far end of the lawn, a romantic backdrop draped in white fabric, pink bougainvillea, and woven lanterns created the perfect focal point.
The Ceremony
As the ceremony began, sunlight filtered through the surrounding trees, casting a soft golden glow. Vows were spoken with heartfelt emotion, and laughter mingled with tears as friends and family looked on.
