A November Getaway to Florida: Food, Family, and Sunshine
Flagler Museum on Palm Beach, FL
This November, my wife and I headed to Florida for a mix of rest, family time, and exploring some of the area’s best food and sights. From Jupiter to Palm Beach to Miami, every day brought something memorable. Here’s a look at our trip — the places we ate, the moments we shared with family, and the little pockets of beauty we found along the way. This trip also gave me the chance to try out a new editing style I’ve been developing — crisp, commercial, and inspired by the modern winery aesthetic. It brought a refined, elevated feel to the images that I’m excited to keep exploring.
Day 1 — Flavorful Start in Jupiter
We kicked things off in Jupiter at Stage Kitchen & Bar, an Indian-fusion spot where every dish somehow felt both familiar and completely new. We ordered a mix of small plates, and each one was packed with flavor — the kind of food that makes you stop mid-conversation just to appreciate it. A perfect welcome dinner for the trip.
Day 2 — Palm Beach Island Charm
The next morning we crossed over to Palm Beach Island and had lunch at Bricktops, where we ordered shrimp cocktail and crab cakes that were honestly to die for. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and exactly what you want when you’re dining by the water.
After lunch, we walked down Worth Avenue, admiring its Mediterranean-inspired architecture, quiet courtyards, and the overall polished, relaxed vibe.
We wandered into Le Bilboquet Market, a new café just off Worth Ave, for coffees and macarons — the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.
We finished the day by heading down to the Worth Avenue tower, enjoying the ocean views and soft November breeze.
Day 3 — Family Time in Jupiter
We stayed at my brother-in-law’s home in Jupiter and got some much-needed family time. I took a few photos of their cats (they have big personalities) and, most importantly, we met our new niece. Their home is beautiful — especially the custom rock-climbing wall they built for their daughters. Definitely one of the coolest playroom features I’ve seen.
After lounging around together, we made our way to Gardens Mall in PGA for a quick outing, then grabbed incredible sandwiches at Buccan Sandwich Shop.
The afternoon was spent at the Flagler Museum, a must-see in Palm Beach. The architecture and décor are stunning, and we spent time exploring the “Making of the Modern Department Store” exhibit. The museum grounds outside were just as beautiful, with calm views of the water inlet.
We continued the day by walking around The Royal Poinciana Plaza, soaking in the design and ambiance.
Afterwards, we took a pitstop at the Bingham Island Bridge to admire the sunset.
Dinner that evening was back in Jupiter at Mana Greek Fusion, which completely hit the spot.
Day 4 — Miami Design District & Coconut Grove
The next day we drove down to Miami and explored the Miami Design District, starting with omakase at Sushi Yasu Tanaka inside the MIA Market food hall. It was fresh, refined, and such a great find for a food-hall setting.
We walked around the Design District, grabbed Kith Treats, and then headed to Coconut Grove. We visited The Barnacle Historic State Park, a peaceful, shaded spot that felt like an escape from the city. Coconut Grove overall had this quaint, walkable charm that made the whole afternoon feel slow and easy.
We ended the day at Hell’s Kitchen Miami, which was a fun contrast to the calm of Coconut Grove. (And it was also my birthday!)
Day 5 — Wellington & the West Palm Beach Market
On our last full day, we drove over to Wellington to stay with our sister-in-law. We got to meet their adorable poodles, Paddington and Apollo — two fluffy, lovable little characters.
We all went together to the Farmers Market on West Palm Beach, which was packed in the best way. So many vendors, so many different foods, flowers, baked goods, produce — you name it, it was there. It felt like the heartbeat of the community on a Saturday morning.
Looking Back
This trip was the perfect blend of good food, family time, and exploring some of Florida’s best neighborhoods. Each day had its own energy — from Jupiter’s calm to Palm Beach’s elegance to Miami’s design-forward buzz. And of course, moments with family made it all the more meaningful!
