England & Ireland, 2017. Revisited. Part 3: Liverpool

Part three of our 2017 trip, re-edited nine years later. Liverpool was my pick.

Liverpool

We took the train into Lime Street and walked up Hope Street to Liverpool Cathedral, a huge sandstone interior with Tracey Emin's neon glowing under the blue windows. Then down to Chinatown and its arch on Nelson Street.

That arch is the last frame my Sony ever took. Not long after, I dropped it inside a café and it broke. Everything from here on was shot on my iPhone.

Liverpool was my pick, because I love the Beatles, and the next day was all Beatles history. Love locks along the Albert Dock, the Beatles Story, a bus out to Penny Lane and the red gates of Strawberry Field, then back to Mathew Street to end the night at the Cavern Club watching a tribute band. Early the next morning we caught a Ryanair flight to Dublin.
